Piano Lessons for Adults

Duet Dueling Fingers

It is never too late to learn to play piano! In adult lessons, the student guides the lesson while working alongside the teacher to build an individualized program. Whether you are just starting out or have taken before as a child and need some refreshing, you will find the joy of playing piano at Piano Pathways.

Recreational Music Making (Group Piano)

Recreational Music Making classes are taught with the hobbyist in mind. These classes are perfect for the adult student who:

  • Has always dreamed of playing the piano.
  • Took lessons as a child and wants to return to playing after years away from the piano.
  • Enjoys learning piano in a group, social environment.
  • Want to create and perform music with others.

As the first independent piano studio in Baton Rouge to offer Recreational Music Making, we are able to make our group classes social, fun, energetic, and engaging. These group classes offer a comfortable pacing that teach students solid skills in music reading, performance, listening skills, theory, and ensemble playing. You don’t have to have “talent” to play the piano, only the desire to play!”

Classes meet once weekly, 55-minutes, for 8-week sessions. Tuition $185. Call the studio to check our current schedule.

Private Lessons

Private lessons for adults are entirely focused on your personal goals, whether it is to learn scales and chords, play popular songs, study select repertoire and advance your skills, or simply to have fun. These lessons place an emphasis on individualized instruction with a unique curriculum tailored for each student. We work together as a team to get you to your musical goals. Students enrolled in private lessons are required to have either an acoustic piano or high-quality digital piano.

Lessons meet once weekly, either 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons for 16-week semester. Please call the studio for current tuition rates.

Slide background

I started taking piano lessons a couple of years ago and was attracted to the group class because I would be playing on a keyboard, using headphones so others wouldn't hear me. Since that time, my affection for the piano has grown significantly and I don't mind playing for others now.
